The Psalter of Louis IX, f. 5v

Abraham attacks the camp of the enemy who captured Lot, catching the soldiers by surprise.  Abraham is shown as the largest figure in the center of the composition.  He stabs his sword down upon his enemy as he holds the figure's head down.  The surprised enemy soldiers fall back in a chaotic crowd, trying in vain to shield themselves from the Israelite onslaught.
